“The African-Americans: Many Rivers to Cross,” a documentary series written and produced by Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr., covers the arc of African-American history from the 16th century to the present. President Lincoln’s Cottage is featured in the third episode, which examines the Civil War and Reconstruction.
