By Katie Needham

Take a guided tour of President Lincoln’s Cottage on the site’s first Deaf Appreciation Day!  Select Cottage tours on Saturday, June 5, 2010 will include ASL interpretation provided by Birnbaum Interpreting Services.  These tours will be reserved exclusively for deaf and hearing-impaired visitors.

Deaf Appreciation Day tours will be offered at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm.  Advanced tickets are required as tour space is limited.  Tickets may be purchased through our website, www.lincolncottage.org or by calling Etix at 1-800-514-3849.

This special day at President Lincoln’s Cottage is co-sponsored by Birnbaum Interpreting Services and made possible by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
