On Thursday December 18 at 9:00 PM (EST) C-SPAN will re-air a two hour special featuring President Lincoln’s Cottage. This program contains the first high definition footage taken at the Cottage and includes a never-before-filmed panorama shot from the top of the tower adjacent to the Cottage. Historians Matthew Pinsker, Edna Greene Medford and Frank Milligan (Director of President Lincoln’s Cottage) discuss the Lincolns’ life at the Soldiers’ Home, the momentous decisions made there and Lincoln’s daily commute through Civil War Washington.
C-SPAN is re-airing the piece on President Lincoln’s Cottage as part of their Lincoln White House programming during C-SPAN’s White House week.
