At the Crossroads of Freedom & Equality: The Emancipation Proclamation & the March on Washington

President Lincoln’s Cottage is proud to partner with the Armed Forces Retirement Home to present a program celebrating Black History Month. At the Crossroads of Freedom & Equality: The Emancipation Proclamation & the March on Washington will include poetry, a reading of President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, and music. The keynote speaker will be Congressman James E. Clyburn.

Date & Time: Thursday February 28 2013, 1:30 – 3:00 pm.
 
NEW LOCATION: Stanley Chapel, Armed Forces Retirement Home. Entrance via Eagle Gate, located at the intersection of Upshur Street NW and Rock Creek Church Road NW. Stanley Chapel is located past the Visitor Parking Lot.
 
This is a FREE public program but reservations are required. Space is limited, and unfortunately no walk-in seating is available. This event is at capacity, and registration is closed.
