President Lincoln’s Cottage is a wonderful place to connect with history on Juneteenth. Here is what we are offering on site:

  • A special Juneteenth Family tour of the Cottage at noon
  • Take Home Juneteenth activities for ages 6-10 (pick up at the Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center)
  • Signature guided tours of the Cottage at 10am, 11am, and 3pm.
  • Self-guided landscape tours of Lincoln’s Wild Home (available 9:30am-4:30pm, purchase tickets and pick up maps at the front desk of the Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center)
  • Crafting for Connection (Open Monday-Friday 9:30am-4:30pm at the Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center)
  • Bring your own picnic to the picnic area behind the Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center (or bring a picnic and a blanket to the South Lawn)
