Record Snowfall at President Lincoln's Cottage

Perched on a hilltop in Washington, D.C., President Lincoln’s Cottage often experiences more wind and cooler temperatures than the city center.  The recent winter storm dumped over a foot of snow (around 18 inches) on the Cottage–a record for December.

Due to the weather, the Cottage was closed Saturday and Sunday and will be closed again on Monday.  People who pre-purchased tickets through Etix will be contacted by President Lincoln’s Cottage staff to make arrangements for ticket exchanges or refunds.

Enjoy the snow!
