New Columbia Draft Constitution Unveiled at President Lincoln's Cottage

On Friday, May 6, District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser and the New Columbia Statehood Commission unveiled the draft constitution for the proposed state of New Columbia at President Lincoln’s Cottage. The unveiling was followed by an open forum where residents of D.C. could ask questions or express comments and concerns related to the proposed constitution and statehood.
