Commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Thirteenth Amendment and the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act on February 27 at 1:30 pm with Rep. G. K. Butterfield.

Butterfield, Representative of North Carolina’s 1st District and Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, will speak on his experiences as a student leader, Civil Rights attorney, judge, and Congressman that have put him in the front-lines of history, helping others to fully realize the promise of the Thirteenth Amendment and continuing to shape an equal and just United States. This program will also include inspirational readings and musical interludes.
