Artist Releases Limited Edition Prints of President Lincoln's Cottage

By Erin Carlson Mast

President Lincoln’s Cottage is excited to announce the release of limited edition prints of the Cottage. The prints represent three views of the Cottage, from the north, south, and northeast. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist, Kathleen Rickert Nelson, who created the drawings to support the ongoing preservation and education efforts of the site.  Only 300 prints were made from each drawing. The only place these prints are sold is in the Museum Store at President Lincoln’s Cottage. Limited Edition Print of President Lincoln' Cottage.

About the Artist’s Work:

With a life-long interest in Abraham Lincoln, Kathleen contacted the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 2004 to ask for their permission to do an architectural pen and ink drawing of President Lincoln’s Cottage, a National Monument in Washington, D.C. Wanting to support the preservation effort and give back through her artwork, on September 23, 2005, Kathleen proudly presented three diverse views of Lincoln’s cottage. In January 2008, Kathleen updated the prints to reflect the newly completed landscaping at President Lincoln’s Cottage.
